In Next.js 12.3, some of the quality-of-life improvements include Improved Fast Refresh, TypeScript Auto-Install, Stable Image Component, SWC Minifier, and New Router + Layouts Update. Additionally, Next.js Conf, the third global Next.js community conference, is set to happen in October. This event will feature features that leverage React Server Components, Streaming and Suspense, Conventions that make it easier for developers to optimize and scale applications, and open-source tooling that make local development and production builds faster. Also, Next.js has built-in support for automatically configuring TypeScript, and the new Image component is now stable and no longer requires an experimental flag. With all these updates and improvements, Next.js has become a more powerful and efficient web framework for developers to build modern apps and websites.
