Recently, JetBrains launched the Public Preview for Fleet - a new distributed polyglot editor and IDE which supports multiple programming languages. This JSON structure focuses on C# support in Fleet, including its features, limitations, and plans for the future. Currently, only C# support has been implemented, but it is based on ReSharpers code analysis engine. One limitation to keep in mind is that Fleet supports only projects targeting .NET 5.0 and above. To start C# development on Fleet, select File | Open and navigate to a folder with a .sln or .csproj file. Fleet isnt designed to have complicated or deep integrations with enterprise technologies, Xamarin or game engines like Unity, so JetBrains sees Rider and Fleet coexisting for the foreseeable future.
