Chatbox is a desktop application for ChatGPT API (OpenAI API), providing prompt debugging and management tools. It offers the same fast speed as ChatGPT Plus, and data is stored locally, reducing the risk of data loss. Chatbox supports GPT-4 and other models, along with custom domain proxy. Its UI design is based on ergonomics, providing a variety of features like Markdown, message quotes, word and token estimation, night mode, and more. Chatbox comes with software installers, making it simple to download and get started. It is free and open-source, available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. By using Chatbox, the user can perform experiments in a convenient way and have greater control over the AI interface. More features are being added, including improved prompt settings, prompt library, talk with files, and URLs, among others. Contributors are welcome, and there is an option to buy the developer a coffee. Get in touch via Twitter, email, or blog. Chatbox is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0.
