Announcing .NET 8 Preview 3

The .NET 8 Preview 3 has been released with changes in build paths, workloads and containers. It also includes performance improvements in the JIT, for Arm64, and dynamic PGO. The release notes and known issues are available in the GitHub issue tracker. The update includes new features in C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and .NET MAUI. The .NET SDK also includes several improvements, such as a simplified output path option, which gathers all of the build outputs in a common location and separates them by project. However, there is a breaking change in the SDK, as it no longer changes encoding upon exit. .NET 8 has been tested with 17.6 Preview 3 and is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows. Visual Studio for Mac support for .NET 8 is not yet available.
