Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, has announced the launch of xAI, a new organization aimed at understanding the true nature of the universe. The team, led by Musk and consisting of experts from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Tesla, and the University of Toronto, will reveal more details during a Twitter Spaces event. xAI, advised by Dan Hendrycks from the Center for AI Safety, will collaborate with Twitter and Tesla to pursue its mission. Speculations suggest that xAI might focus on building a text-generating AI with higher truthfulness. Musks AI ambitions have been growing since his split with OpenAI and he has been actively poaching key employees from the company.
